Southeast Healthcare Services Celebrates National Health Center Week 2019

Southeast Healthcare will hold a Community Health and Wellness Fair on August 7 1-4pm to mark National Health Center Week 2019 from August 4th-10th. The event is part of a national campaign to increase awareness of the ways health centers are providing affordable health care in communities. A host of NHCW events that celebrate the ways that health centers are “Rooted in Communities” are scheduled across the country, including health fairs, visits by Members of Congress and state officials to local health centers, press conferences, back-to-school drives, community breakfasts, patient appreciation events, free health screenings and much more.

In celebration of National Health Center Week, stop by for Free Health Screenings, community resources and free give aways/raffles on Wednesday, August 7, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Southeast Franklin Station 524 W. Broad Street, Columbus Ohio.

EMDR Therapy Now Offered at Southeast, Inc.

Southeast Healthcare Services (Southeast, Inc.) is now offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as an integrative psychotherapy approach and has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.

EMDR Therapy can be used for the treatment of: Panic attacks, Complicated grief, Dissociative disorders, Disturbing memories, Phobias, Pain disorders, Performance anxiety, Stress reduction, Addictions, Sexual and/or Physical abuse, Body dysmorphic disorders, and Personality Disorders. Additionally, EMDR Therapy is a good alternative for individuals who have not responded to talk therapy in the past.

ADAMH, Southeast Healthcare and Columbus Division of Fire Join Forces with Rapid Response Emergency Addiction and Crisis Team (RREACT) Pilot Program

The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Franklin County is proud to announce a partnership with Southeast Healthcare and the Columbus Division of Fire to immediately address access to treatment for those involved in addiction-related mental health crisis incidents.  A two-year pilot program, funded by ADAMH at $496,490 each year has kicked off in the Central Ohio area utilizing a collaborative model to enhance patient access to healthcare services and treatment for substance use disorders, improve disposition of patients throughout the community healthcare systems and provide a systems-based approach to continuity of care.

Southeast Healthcare Services Now Serving Adults in Delaware and Morrow Counties in Ohio

Southeast, Inc., (DBA Southeast Healthcare Services) a non–profit comprehensive mental health, chemical dependency, vocational, physical healthcare, and homeless services organization, is proud to announce that it is expanding services for adults with mental health needs and co-occurring substance use disorders in Delaware and Morrow Counties, Ohio.

Services include behavioral health assessments, individual and group counseling, community- based case management, peer support, psychiatric services, vocational services, benefits counseling, criminal justice inreach and relinkage from corrections to the community, and daytime crisis intervention. Southeast has a history of providing innovative services, responsiveness to community needs and has a strong focus on evidence-based practices in support of consumers and their recovery.

Southeast, Inc. & Franklin County Public Health Partner for Free Naloxone Distribution Kits to Combat Opioid Overdose

Franklin County Public Health (FCPH) and Southeast Integrated Healthcare Services (Southeast, Inc.), a comprehensive provider of behavioral and physical healthcare services, have partnered to offer free naloxone nasal spray kits. Naloxone (also known as Narcan) is a life-saving drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose when administered in time. These efforts are part of a community wide effort to increase access to Naloxone for counties with high heroin and fentanyl-related deaths. Read More read more
